About Me

Hi, I'm Serhat — a backend engineer and MLOps freelancer with over a decade of experience in the automotive industry and health-tech startups. I specialize in designing and maintaining resilient, scalable systems that run in production without surprises.
My core stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and Kubernetes. I also work frequently with Python-based ML pipelines, helping teams containerize, automate, and deploy ML models into real-world environments using MLOps best practices.
In my freelance work, I’ve helped startups build:
- Secure Kafka pipelines using Avro and Confluent Schema Registry
- Robust CI/CD workflows in GitLab for reproducible ML deployments
- Containerized inference APIs for dental imaging models
- Disaster recovery systems on AWS using Terraform, EC2, RDS, and S3
I launched serhat.tech to document the lessons learned from these projects — not as polished tutorials, but as real, usable battle notes for teams in the trenches.
If you're a CTO, tech lead, or founder who’s struggling with breakage in your backend or ML infrastructure, I might be able to help.
